"The Legend of Sleepy Hollow" by Washington Irving
We've all heard of Ichabod Crane and Washington Irving's "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow" which was first published in 1820, in his collection of essays and short stories entitled The Sketch Book of Geoffrey Crayon, Gent, but I hadn't read it until today.
It was worth the wait!
