"Pavlov" by Erik Evenson

Flash Fiction Friday

Fridays are pretty hectic in my world (probably in yours, too,) so it makes good sense to occasionally highlight some short shorts on Fridays. (And, what can I say, I'm a sucker for alliteration, so that's another good reason.)

When I stumbled on this piece, written by a friend and former fellow classmate, Erik Evenson, I knew immediately that I would have to share it. It's just so damn good! And it's 100 words on the nose.

According to Evenson, the story was inspired by the poor pups in Pavlov's experiments who were finally left salivating and without any meat. Enjoy! (I know you will!)
