"How to Turn a Corner" by Titi Nguyen

Today, I'm breaking a rule or... turning a corner, to bring you some creative nonfiction by Titi Nguyen. The thing is I absolutely loved this piece, so I had to share. Anyway, good writing is good writing, whatever the genre.

"How to Turn a Corner" (from Bending Genre) brought me back to my waitress days...uh, make that years: Eight, in total. Eight long, long years.

And Nguyen's language is so beautiful! Her insight, sharp!

"A chef's anger is dry ice or skillet hot--it burns." --This line made my heart race with memories of so many pissed off chefs.
