"How I Met My Husband" by Alice Munro

I stumbled on Alice Munro and Margaret Atwood hanging out, this morning, which led me to read "How I Met My Husband" by Alice Munro . Then I found this lovely little clip of an interview that is just so wonderful, I can't even tell you.

A hearty and satisfying serving of Munro to start your week and inspire your writing!

Aside from the ending, this is my favorite line, the subtle pinnacle of the subtle genius in this story: "But I thought it was still a lot easier, living the way we lived at home, to picture something like this, the painted flamingos and the warmth and the soft mat, than it was anybody knowing only things like this to picture how it was the other way."
