"Miss Lora" by Junot Díaz

Picked up a copy of Junot Díaz' most recent collection, This is How You Lose Her, at the airport today. Then I spent the next five hours devouring Díaz' dysfunctional Dominican-American world, his sharp language and so many broken hearts.

Let me tell you, there are worse ways to spend a day in the air, so many worse ways, and plenty of them were on sale at the airport alongside the 2008 Pulitzer Prize winner's (The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao) book.

Although some stories in this inter-connected collection were better than others, for the most part I really, really enjoyed it.
