I read this story from the collection titled Brief Interviews with Hideous Men, about 6 months ago, and it has haunted me every since. It goes without saying that David Foster Wallace was a genius literary craftsman, but what most struck me about this story is the way he strips humanity bare to examine it, so fearlessly, from all sides.
