A different story of Nazi Germany, a different perspective that reflects on the inheritors of the survival stories, the grandchildren who inherit a legacy of pain, short fuses, secret histories. It reminded me a little of Cynthia Ozick's "Rosa," her follow up to "The Shawl."
Molly Antopol's debut collection was nominated for the 2014 National Book Award and made the long list for The Story Prize--which is where I came to learn of it.
